Our 2025 Members World Summit in Lisbon was a success! Over three days, members came together to strengthen relationships, share insights and explore new opportunities. Here’s a recap of the highlights and what’s next for My Network.
What Happened in Lisbon:
A Recap of an Inspiring Members World Summit
The summit began on Wednesday, May 28, with official registration and kick-off in the garden at the Lisbon Marriott. It was a warm and relaxed start to the event, giving members the chance to settle in, reconnect and meet fellow freight forwarding professionals from across the network.
Similar to last year, the Social Star team organised a photoshoot for all members to gift them a headshot for our website and their personal brand.
As the evening continued, members gathered for welcome drinks before enjoying a welcome dinner in the garden. It set the tone for the days ahead – open conversations, familiar faces, new introductions and the kind of personal connection that makes My Network more than just a business network.
On Thursday morning, the programme moved into the meeting room Geneva at the Lisbon Marriott, where members came together for the general meeting. This session created space to discuss the direction of the network, share updates and align around the opportunities ahead.
The day continued with two vendor presentations, giving members access to fresh insights, practical ideas and valuable perspectives from trusted partners. Between sessions, members had time to continue conversations over coffee in the Foyer Bar, followed by lunch at Citrus Restaurant.
That afternoon, the group stepped away from the formal meeting environment for a social activity outside the hotel. This created a more relaxed setting for members to spend time together, deepen relationships and experience more of Lisbon beyond the conference agenda.
The evening concluded with dinner at Le Jardin d’Eden in Lisbon city – a memorable opportunity for members to enjoy the local atmosphere while continuing the conversations and connections built throughout the day.
Friday was dedicated to structured 1:1 meetings, giving members focused time to connect directly, discuss opportunities and build stronger commercial relationships. These meetings remain one of the most valuable parts of the summit, allowing members to better understand each other’s businesses, markets and potential areas for collaboration.
The day also included an evaluation meeting, giving members the chance to reflect on the summit, share feedback and contribute to the ongoing development of My Network. With more 1:1 sessions continuing into the afternoon, the event closed with a strong sense of progress, partnership and shared purpose.
By the end of the Lisbon summit, members had gained more than new contacts. They left with stronger relationships, practical insights, fresh opportunities and renewed confidence in the value of belonging to an active, curated global network.
